"Do you want to build a snowman?"

    I truly am grateful for every season God has given us.  I'm blessed to live in a location where all four season's are spectacular!

   Let's face it though; the older you get, the worse -3 degrees feels in your bones.  Is that why older people flock to the lovely state of Florida?  I'm guessing so.

So the answer is no,
    I don't want to build a snowman!!!  ;)

Well, yes if it's above 45 degrees. ;)

God knows that I joke.

In God's word, Ecclesiases 3:1-15
Ecclesiastes 3King James Version (KJV)
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Thank you God for every season, and yes, every temperature!  Amen

Have a sweet and blessed day!

From the Heart of an Artist

I've been an artist all my life.  I don't need a piece of paper or a degree to tell me so.  Being an artist simply means...
    ~one who creates, and sees the world a little differently.
   An artist sees God's beauty in the smallest of details.  An artist sees what CAN be.  An artist never stops creating.
   I see things, I want to change them, color them, paint them, sculpt them, and hang them on a wall.
   An artist's mind never stops.  An artist's heart always feels, and beats to a melody.

A true artist creates,
      without borders,
                     boundaries,
                            or limits.

Sour Dough Sugar Cookies

These cookies are soooooo good!
~Sour Dough Sugar Cookies by Izzy

    My sweet baby girl adapted the recipe from an old cookie cook book, adding some sour cream to the mix.  Love them, and they are super easy to make!
Ingredients
1 stick (1/2 cup) softened butter
3/4 cups sugar
1 small egg
2 tablespoon sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup sugar for sprinkling on cookies prior to baking

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Using a mixer or fork, beat together the butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract. Blend in the dry ingredients.
Roll into loose balls of dough and sprinkle a little sugar on top.
Place on lined cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes until cracked and set.  Don't allow them to get golden brown on edges.  Remove from oven and let cool on cookie sheet.  Store in your favorite cookie tin and ENJOY!!!
Makes about #40 small cookies.
