Winter in the Mountains

 Winter in the Mountains...
~a beautiful look at winter in the forest.
~A look at winter a few years back.  It's hard to appreciate the snow, the RAIN, and the damage it causes.  However, there is a purpose for every season.  Cherish moments, appreciate troubles and seasons, and look for the good in every day, in every person.
Take time to enjoy a winter hike through the snow.  There is so much beauty to be found within our local forests.  Find a trail; find an adventure!

Ice Skating on a Frozen Pond

This is one of my favorite trails and here is one of my favorite poems by Robert Frost...

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

By Robert fROST

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

~Even though spring is right around the corner, we still have a few snows coming our way.  Enjoy each day of every season.  Appreciate the variety and diversity of our world.  God is the ultimate artist.  Take time to appreciate His work.
Sweetly,
S.E.
